Tram Tours are back

Tram tours are operating regularly once again! False Cape State Park is taking reservations for the Spring Wildlife Tram at (757)426-7128. The tram tours require reservations and cost $8.00/person.

The Spring Wildlife Tram is operating Fridays – Sundays, leaving at 9:00am and returning by 1:00pm. The tour takes passengers through Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge and into False Cape State Park. The trip continues all the way to an historic site called Wash Woods, located deep within the state park. A one-mile (round-trip) walk from the tram leads participants to the cemetery and church steeple, all that is left of the Wash Woods community. Tram riders will also have the chance to visit the Visitor Center of False Cape State Park on this tour.
